We’re spreading the festive cheer from Friday 14th November right through to Saturday 3rd January, please visit the Book Now page for opening dates and times.

Please note, we’ll be taking a short break on Christmas Day so our team can enjoy the celebrations too — then we’ll be back to keep the magic going!

Do I need to book online?

We always recommend booking online in advance to secure your spot and make the most of your visit — especially during the busy festive season!

While we may have some on-the-day availability, booking ahead means you can skip the queues and head straight into the fun.

Do I need to pay to enter the Yattendon Festive Shop?

Accepted Answer

No need at all! Entry to the Yattendon Festive Shop is completely free, so you can browse, soak up the Christmas atmosphere, and enjoy all the seasonal delights.

The only thing you’ll need a ticket for is our ice skating sessions — perfect for adding a little extra sparkle to your visit!

Do you offer skate aids?

Yes, we do! Our skate aids are available to hire for just £7 per session, helping little ones (and a few grown-ups!) glide around the ice with confidence.

They’re a great way to make sure everyone can join in the festive fun safely and enjoyably!

Does the ice rink stay open whatever the weather?

Yes. Our ice rink is fully enclosed beneath a beautiful stretch tent, so you can keep skating and enjoying the festive fun whatever the weather.

Come rain or shine (or even a little snow!), the magic continues without interruption.

Is there a first aid team on hand if needed?

Yes — your safety is our priority. There will always be at least one member of our team who is first aid trained and ready to help should you need any assistance during your visit.

You can relax and enjoy the festivities knowing you’re in safe hands. 🎄

Can wheelchairs go on the ice?

Yes, absolutely! Wheelchairs are welcome on the ice, so everyone can join in the festive fun. 🎄

We do recommend booking during quieter times to make the experience smoother and more enjoyable for all.

Do you offer ticket exchanges?

We’re unable to offer refunds, but you can exchange your tickets yourself through our ticketing system — as long as it’s done at least 24 hours before your booked session.

It’s quick, easy, and lets you keep the festive fun in your plans, even if they change! 🎟️✨

Is there free parking?

Yes — there’s plenty of free parking available on site, just a short stroll from all the festive fun! 🚗✨
 
So you can arrive, park with ease, and dive straight into the celebrations.

Is the event child friendly?

Absolutely! 🎅✨ Our event is designed for the whole family to enjoy, with plenty of festive fun for children of all ages.

To help keep everyone safe on the ice, children aged 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult, and children aged 10–12 must be supervised by an adult, who’s welcome to watch from the side.

It’s the perfect place to make magical memories together this Christmas!

When should I arrive?

We recommend arriving around 30 minutes before your booked session to give you plenty of time to have your ticket validated and collect your hire skates. ⛸️✨

During busy periods, such as weekends and school holidays, it’s a good idea to allow a little extra time — that way, you can relax and enjoy the festive atmosphere before your session begins!

Can I use my own skates?

Yes — skaters are welcome to use their own skates if they prefer! ⛸️✨

Please note that Skate the Estate reserves the right to refuse the use of personal skates if they’re deemed unsuitable for the rink.

We’re also unable to sharpen personal ice skates on site, so please make sure they’re ready before you arrive to enjoy the ice!

Can I bring food or drinks?

For everyone’s safety, no food or drinks are allowed in the skate hire area or on the ice, and glass items are not permitted on the viewing platforms or in the courtyard. 🧊🥤

You’re welcome to bring your own personal food and drinks, but we kindly ask that these aren’t consumed within our on-site bars or restaurants.

There are plenty of delicious festive treats available to enjoy while you’re here! 🎄✨

Question 14

Can I take photographs?

Of course! 📸 You’re very welcome to take photos for personal use and capture those magical festive moments.

However, for everyone’s safety, selfie sticks, large cameras, video cameras, and audio recording devices are not permitted on the ice.

Please also note that tripods are not allowed anywhere on site.

Can I bring my friends to watch?

Absolutely! 🎉 Spectators are very welcome at the ice rink — free of charge.

Your friends and family can watch all the festive fun from the viewing areas, or relax in the cosy Skate Lounge, where they can enjoy a fantastic rink-side view while soaking up the atmosphere. ☕✨
